Death Knights & Ret Pallys

Death Knights & Ret Pallys   Back pre-bc, while druids were known to either Innervate or go home. Blizzard wanted to help make them into more reliable tanks and melee dps (Feral). By doing so they made some drastic changes that made them realy OP for a few weeks. What this did is not get them nerfed back into uselessness again, but to change the stigma. To tell the wolrd that Feral is viable. Over the time they got toned down into a more acceptable position.   Same is happening with Retribution Paladins. Our class has not given a pass yet, and taken from another thread by Heglamore “If I was a blizzard developer I would certaintly flip the OP switch until we can come around and work on their real issues”.   Once our burst is reduced, and our tools are buffed, we will be alot more balanced, for both the Paladin and his enemy.   I get tired of the snappy one liners, but there is nothing I can do accept ignore it. But when it is usualy a group outcry of people

So, about that 3.0 Announcement

So, about that 3.0 Announcement You released that early, or “coming weeks” means like, months right? When most of the stuff thats being announced there has been tested? Inscription isnt in game yet, most of the class talents are either NYI or problematic, Metamorph and Chaos bolt being two im closely familiar with.   Ive never known blizzard to release a faulty product just to meet a deadline. The patch/expansion will release when their ready and finished right?   EDIT: in fact, with 3.0 will you be taking into account the fact that no warlock gear has spirit on it which is what you linked our lifetap to? As well as the mana scaling issue with healers. Sunwell is going to get very painful with 3.0.

WOTLK Lead up event

WOTLK Lead up event   I would like something very dark and forboding. Like the sky turning dark, cloudy, and very eerie across the entire land, with the occassional frost wyrm and/or gargoyles flying around in the sky.   It wouldn’t need to be combat based, but it could just set up a very evil dreary mood for the ultimate evil. The lights in cities could be dimmer…etc…   I would like there to be a true undead army that marches across the land, going from zone to zone, not in a particular speedy way. At worst character smight have to forgo leveling in that zone for a day. Then it culminates with an march to the capital cities doorsteps the day before the expac, then an epic fight showcasing siege weapons and all manner of awesomeness.   Of course, that will never happen.   You see, this is the biggest bad guy WoW has had to date, however there has never been any actual war with him. Give us a reason to want to go end this guys reign, something in the

Reputation Tab

Reputation Tab   The reputation tab of the character sheet is a little odd at the moment:   The Scale of the Sands is listed as a classic reputation instead of TBC.   Hydraxian Waterlords, Shen’dralar, Thorium Brotherhood and Tranquillien are listed as “Other” and not grouped with any expansion or classic.   Thirdly a reputation bar is displayed for the category “Horde Expedition” and I see that some quests give reputation with the Horde Expdetion but don’t give rep with any of the reps underneath it?   My current rep for those 4 are:   Horde Expedition 2260/3000 Neutral The Hand of Vengeance 345/6000 Friendly The Taunka 5200/6000 Friendly Warsong Offensive 175/12000 Honored

Aspects, auras, Survival Instinct off GCD; new aspect

Aspects, auras, Survival Instinct off GCD; new aspect The following will now be off the global cooldown in Wrath of the Lich King, but will have a 1-second cooldown of their own to switch between them: ·         Hunter aspects (source) ·         Paladin auras (source) The new Druid talent Survival Instincts is also being taken off the GCD, which I can really appreciate – tanking gets quite frenetic. But that’s not all! After putting aspects off the GCD, the devs decided they weren’t happy about how it made you feel like you had to “stance-dance” to Monkey every time someone came into melee range. So they’re introducing a whole new aspect: Aspect of the Dragonhawk, which combines the benefits Monkey and Hawk into one aspect. This spell will be learned at level 75 and 80, instead of learning new ranks of Hawk. The idea, says Ghostcrawler, is that you’ll never cast Hawk or Monkey again after 75; you’ll just use

Wrath lockboxes appear in Karazhan

Wrath lockboxes appear in Karazhan We did a run through Karazhan last night, and not one but two of these popped up — Froststeel Lockboxes apparently require 375 Lockpicking (the current limit is 350), and so we have no idea what this might hold. The Ashbringer? Frostmourne? It’s Wrath gear for sure, but it could be anything! No, only joking — of course it’s probably just some Northrend green vendor trash (although item level 73… that might be pretty good). Too bad we won’t know until someone hits level 75, as lockpicking’s general skill formula is five times whatever your level is. But apparently the last patch added at least some higher level loot to the world drop tables — any of you seen any Wrath greens or other gear randomly drop yet?

Azjol-Nerub is disappointing

Azjol-Nerub is disappointing   Im talking about the lore, Azjol-Nerub is a big deal lore wise and its very much depressing in that sense that blizzard kinda didnt make a big about it at all. I mean seriously they controlled northrend before Arthas got there and there presence is barely felt now. Yes alot of them are with Arthas now or resisting him but theres no signs of their wars and very little lore surrounding them at all. Plus Anub’Arak as a 5 man boss in a leveling instance? isnt he pretty important character? Did you even read the post at all?   Ive got to agree with him. I was very disappointed by the SIZE of azjol-nerub, in WC3 it was HUGE, and you only saw part of it. I realize you cant see the entire instance now, but it only took about 20 minutes to get to the wall before the last boss. What happened to the faceless ones? Where is the hole that huge ancient creature lived in? Where is the lore for the dungeon in WOTLK at all? My most sincere hope is that they

Streaming Client

Streaming Client   I can say from the “vista user” perspective it was awful… I know other people stuck with vista had similar issues. Apparently from what I gathered from forum chatter than vista pre-assigns memory and the damn thing would assign millions and trillions of bytes and bits and MB and GB and whatever to WoW and it would keep crashing the game. stuuuupid.

Tips for new Death Knights from a fellow tank, part 2

Tips for new Death Knights from a fellow tank, part 2   Dear corpsified bundles of beautifully-armored joy (but more particularly those who tank Azjol Nerub while wearing Expedition Bracers of the Bandit), We had a little bit of controversy in the first installment, so I’m just going to state this as baldly as possible; if you hated what I wrote last time, there’s a good chance you’ll walk away from this one thinking I eat babies. Delicious, delicious babies. While I never mean to offend people, I reserve the right to tell them the truth, or at the very least a highly entertaining and plausible lie. Truth, she be at times an ugly mistress. And she ain’t gettin’ any prettier as we move from DPS to tanking. Tanks have significantly more responsibility, both in groups and raids, and they face the competing directives of maximizing mitigation (to keep their healers happy) and maximizing threat production (to keep their DPS happy). I’ve healed dozens
